2. What Data We Collect and Why

2.1 Visiting our website (server log files)

When you visit our website, our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, and pages accessed. This data is technically necessary to display the website and to ensure its stability and security (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest). Log files are deleted after 30 days.

2.2 Hosting

Our website is hosted by SiteGround Hosting Ltd. Server location: Singapore. Because Singapore is a country outside the European Economic Area without an adequacy decision by the European Commission, personal data processed by our hosting provider is transferred to a third country. This transfer is safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR concluded with the provider.

2.3 Customer account and orders

When you place an order or create a customer account, we collect the data required to perform the contract: name, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number (optional), and order details. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract). We retain this data as long as required by statutory retention obligations under German commercial and tax law (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO: 6 or 10 years).

2.4 Payment processing

We offer the following payment methods:

  • WooPayments (WooCommerce Payments), operated by Automattic Inc. / WooCommerce Ireland Ltd., with payment processing by Stripe, Inc. When you pay by card or wallet, your payment data (card details, name, amount) is transmitted directly to the payment processor. We do not store full card details on our servers. Stripe may transfer data to the USA; such transfers are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses. Details: https://stripe.com/privacy and https://automattic.com/privacy/

To deliver your order, we pass on your name, delivery address and — where required for delivery notifications — your email address and/or phone number to our shipping partner:

United Parcel Service Deutschland S.à r.l. & Co. OHG, Görlitzer Straße 1, 41460 Neuss, Germany.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
